HOW TO LINK AADHAAR TO PAN ONLINE VIA E-FILING WEBSITE: 

1. Visit the official Income Tax e-filing website: https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/ 

2. Click on the ‘Quick Links’ button and select ‘Link Aadhaar’.

3. Verify your payment details and click on ‘Continue’.

4. Enter your PAN and Aadhaar numbers and click on ‘Validate’.

5. Fill in the necessary details such as your mobile number, name as per Aadhaar and click on the “Link Aadhaar” button.

6. Enter the 6-digit OTP received on your mobile number and click on ‘Validate’.

7. You will receive a notification confirming your request has been shared with UIDAI.

HOW TO LINK AADHAAR TO PAN CARD OFFLINE (MANUALLY):

1. Visit the nearest NSDL office.

2. Obtain and fill out the appropriate form under the guidance of the concerned official.

3. Provide the required details and submit supporting documents such as your Aadhaar card, PAN card, and birth certificate. Once the documents are verified, your Aadhaar will be linked to the PAN.

HOW TO LINK AADHAAR TO PAN CARD VIA SMS: 

1. Ensure that you have made the payment through the NSDL portal before proceeding. 

2. Compose an SMS in the format of UIDPAN <12-digit Aadhaar> <10-digit PAN>.

3. Send the SMS from your registered mobile number to either 56161 or 567678.

Example: if your Aadhaar card number is 123456789101 and your PAN is FGHIJ2345D, send the SMS as UIDPAN 123456789101 FGHIJ2345D to either 56161 or 567678. Once the information is verified, your Aadhaar card will be linked with the PAN.

1. Go to the e-Filing Income Tax Department page at https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/pre-login/link-aadhaar-status 

2. Click on “Link Aadhaar Status” under “Quick Links”.

3. Enter your PAN number.

4. Enter your Aadhaar number.

5. Click on the “View Link Aadhaar Status” button.

6. The status of your Aadhaar-PAN linking will be displayed on your screen.

HOW TO CORRECT DETAILS IN AADHAAR-PAN LINKING (ONLINE):

1. Visit the official UIDAI web portal at https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/  

2. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha code to log in.

3. Choose the “OTP” option and enter the one-time password received on your registered mobile number.

4. Select the sections in your Aadhaar card that require updating and upload the necessary scanned documents.

5. Once the documents are uploaded, you will receive an Update Request Number (URN) for future reference.
